小学校：小学生英語弁論大会に本校の児童が参加しました

Primary English speech contest

11月25日（日）、「小学生英語弁論大会 in 宮城」が開催されました。

大会の参加者は、第一部（小学１～３年生部門）３０名、第二部（小学４～６年生）３０名、総勢６０名でした。

その中から、本校の４名の児童が表彰されました。以下が、その結果です。

奨   励   賞： 3名（全員3年生）

仙台市長賞：1名（3年生）

※ 仙台市長賞は、大会の部門の中の２位を意味します。

参加した児童は皆、たくさんの行事がありながらも日々練習に励みました。

結果に関わらず、ここまで努力を積み重ね、大勢の前で立派なスピーチを披露することができたことは大変素晴らしいことです。

また、代表児童の保護者様をはじめ、大会の参加を希望した児童の保護者の皆様にはスピーチの指導や励ましの言葉をかけていただました。

おかげさまで、子供達も自信をもって練習の成果を発揮することができました。

これからも、様々な機会で子供たちが活躍することを楽しみにしています。

We had the "English Speech Contest in Miyagi" last Sunday.

There were 60 participants in total. 1st section, which was for grades 1~3, had 30 participants and 2nd section, which was for grades 4~6, also had 30 participants.
Four children from our school were honored with a prize. The following is the result.

Honorable mention:     3 students from Grade 3

2nd place (Sendai mayor award):  1 student from Grade 3

Every child practiced hard everyday although there were many other events recently.

Regardless of the result, it was very amazing that the children were able to perform brilliant speeches in front of the audience. 

The children were able to demonstrate the speech with confidence.

We're so happy to see our students progress every day.

We believe that this experience gave students a chance to build their presentation skill and think about the contents of the speech.
